As you know, gae, I have made a concerted effort to keep discussion of gl's homosexuality off all threads except the designated one, even if it meant constantly redirecting him.

With that said, your weakness for stray cats sounds like my weakness for stray dogs.

Over a month ago, I encountered a dog blocking the two southbound lanes of Winton Road in Greenhills. There was a man trying to lure the dog off the road, and the dog backed off.

I pulled over, got out of my car, walked out into the road if front of two southbound lanes of stopped traffic and approached the barking dog from the direction of the center lane, fearful that he would run into the opposing traffic. As I approached the dog, I said, "Come here." The dog rolled over on his back, I picked him up, and handed him to the man who unsuccessfully tried to coral the mutt.

I waved to an adoring audience patiently waiting in their cars, and left, happy that I performed my good deed for the day.

Then not long after that, I noticed a very friendly dog going door to door in a rain storm. When it ended up on my front porch, I tethered it, fed it food and water, and left her for the rest of the day out front so the owner might see her and retrieve her.

Unfortunately, noone came by. I put the dog in the backyard, but it started to scratch on my back door around 1am. I had to call the SPCA, because the dog was too big and I had no place to keep her. And she was such a sweetie.

As it turns out, the dog had some kind of bug, and both my two dogs caught it. So I ended up with two dogs barfing and shitting all over my kitchen floor for two days.

So I admire your adoption of the cats. I hope they provide you with years of enjoyment.

I admire the adoption of the strays myself, but with the boys I really wanted a specific temperament. That is why I wanted a Maine Coon, I understood that the temperament was wonderful and that it was quite consistent within the breed. We have not been disappointed.

Yes, she thinks she is a dog, craves human company and is IN MY FACE if I don't give it to her.

    Dluc,

    Nice looking cat.

Go here and look at the Veriamo cats. Tom is currently the top breeder in the world. Scroll down till you find Maintoons Cisco Kid.

Cisco was Tom's first cat, which I am proud to say he bought from me.

I love the Maine Coon disposition. My Cat is a great companion, but tolerant of being left during the day.

Do you know anything about the breeders in my list?

    This is Jigsaw's Kitty:

RavensKitty2

    ravenskitty

    ravenskitty1

Her name is Kitty, and Lindsay found her next to a former friends house. She wasn't doing to good, as she was kind of the runt of the litter and looked like she was being refused by her mother. So we took her in, and it has been a great couple of years. I love Kitty a lot, and while she may never replace my dog, she has filled the void.

    Kitty is ADORABLE!

Are those old pics, or is she still small?

My Cat is Huge, and she is still not a year old. When we first took her to the vet, she was ~ 5 months old. Two weeks later, back for another shot, she had gained more than a pound.

    She is a big kitten.

    And she is loved.
